Fundamentals of Successful Tender Evaluation
Aims
The aim is to provide delegates with an awareness of the processes to
evaluate a tender document and to make informed judgement leading to
contract award.
Learning Outcomes
The delegates will be afforded an opportunity to understand the
essential principles for effective tendering evaluation in a
competitive market. The training will assist delegates to understand
the content of ideal procurement plan and the link with the business
strategy. The delegates will understand the roles and responsibilities
of the evaluation team as part of the procurement process. The
importance of the procurement specification and the formation of the
Invitation to Tender will be addressed against the background of the
need to demonstrate fair competition under EC legislation. The
delegates will understand the need to establish the evaluation criteria
before release of the Invitation To Tender (ITT) and will be shown how
to control the issue of the ITT and then how to manage the evaluation
of the response.
